Looking for YooHoo and Country Cookin' Mickey Mantle matchbooks. With or without matches is fine. Thanks.
Also looking for the rare colored site/black back holiday inn variation.

If anyone has one of these, even if not for sale I would love to see it. Colored site, black map. This was the second matchbook produced after the yellow background.

It's not for sale but figured I'd share. I have a nearly complete run of Mantle matchbooks, just missing the Holiday Inn version with the yellow background (if you have an extra?) and one of the Yoo Hoo variations. If you'd like to compare checklists at some point, I'd be curious to see whether there are any variations out there that I'm not aware of.

These are the ones I have so far. I am missing the YooHoo book offer and the 2nd Holiday Inn - colored site/black inside cover (I have the green inside cover version like yours as well). As far as I know there are 5 Holiday Inn variations. The yellow background and the colored site/black inside cover are the toughest to find. I do have duplicates of a couple of them if you need any others...

Thanks Ben. It looks like we both have the same checklists, which is great (I have the Holiday Inn banquet matchbooks and the bowling alley matchbooks, but those don't actually picture him). Knowing the info you have, I am glad I was able to get my black back one for so cheap.

If you have a duplicate of the yellow portrait version, I'd be interested.

I'll keep a look out for the black back one you are missing.

Glad I found this thread. Here are the three that I have. (BTW, when did PSA slab those for you? I contacted them the beginning of the year and they told me they did NOT slab them!)

PSA just started slabbing them a few months ago. The yellow background they slabbed for me was the first one graded. PM sent.

BVG's population report of these (5 different varieties) is going to be all screwed up if all they say on the flip is "Holiday Inn Matchbook circa 1960's"... I would have thought they would have at least done like PSA to distinguish between manufacturers.

I recently completed the run of all Holiday Inn variations from initial yellow background as the first to the more common "one ear" diamond as the last. The second one colored site/black back was by far the toughest to find for me.

I'm eyeing one of those as a nicer example to upgrade :) Thanks.

I have this one that's on your want list. It's from San Antonio. I can't sell it but I would trade it for a yellow Holiday Inn matchbook or for a similar condition Country Cookin matchbook--I am not collecting the different location variations, so I'd have no issue exchanging it with one of yours to help move you further along in your quest.

Thanks Chris. I wish I had duplicates at this time to trade with you. I have owned three yellow backgrounds in the past but unfortunately I have traded two away for other matchbooks. I will let you know if I come across another one.

The toughest to acquire Holiday Inn matchbook in my opinion is up for auction by a seller if anyone needs one.
