1959 Fleer Ted Williams Set
4 Attachment(s)
Noticed a lot of posts about this awesome set in another thread. So figured I would start a thread just for them. I stole this set from a fellow member a couple years ago. Didn't really steal it but got an amazing price.:) The cards are all in amazing condition. The Ted Signs card is the only one with any problems. There is a very small bump in the card stock and it caused a small print error in that area during the printing process.
Here is my set, show yours. |
Very nice set Ben....very jealous as this is one of the few Fleer sets I have yet to complete (or even come close) .

Like I mentioned in the other post, wish I had of purchased the same set when I had the opportunity! Just see a bunch on E-Bay but unfortunately, the seller doesn't ship to Canada. |
I love this set and just finished it, but most of mine isn't scanned and I don't feel like scanning tonight. Here are the scans I already had:

1959 Ted Williams Fleer set
In the early 1980's, you could buy a near mint set (including card #68) for about $100. Being a Ted Williams fan, I acquired several of these sets.
T'was a great investment......and, some very interesting reading of Ted's life. Especially, the cards related to his Military service. Here's a 6-card panel from an uncut sheet with the #68 card on it. http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...SignsPanel.jpg http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...itarypix25.jpg TED Z . |
Wow, Ted, awesome panel!
