Firstly, congratulations on the sale Peter. An unusually well-centered example of an iconic card.

That said, I just do not understand your follow-up comment, Jake. This fixation on pricing of cards on the BST runs completely counter to the spirit of collecting, in my opinion.

This crass focus on squeezing every last cent from either a Seller or Buyer really disheartens me, and makes me wonder if this is the future of our hobby. I would personally get no thrill from squeezing an extra $25 or $50 bucks out of a deal -- I would imagine most of us on the forum get our satisfaction from enjoyment of the card itself.

I am certain none of our fellow Net54 members would relish being called a 'sucker', either publicly or privately. I am also certain none of them deserve that moniker.

I agree its a great card, whoever bought the card had to have bought it for less than list price, i just think the person who bought the card would be a sucker if they did. In fact, I will give $200.00 to the person that bought the card that is subject to this thread if they in fact paid list price. However that person has a great eye for great cards either way. I have a feeling that person also contributes great things on net54 and should never be criticized. They also probably agree that Ichiro's countdown to 4000 total bases is the true measuring stick

Why would you make a comment like that? Whether or not the "sucker" paid Peter's asking price is none of your business. The comment is in very poor taste.

Dont rush to judgment, there could be scenarios where its not in poor taste.....read between the lines... I will submit the buyer of the card will 100% agree with me that the comment is not in poor taste. I will give $300 to the buyer if the buyer believes the comment was in poor taste..... I will also give $300 to the buyer of this card if they dont believe total base total is a better measuring stick than total hits and also if they dont agree an NL no hitter should only be worth .8 of an AL no hitter.

Ok ill spell it out, im the one that bought the Paige s..ill gladly pay asking if its the right price and great card.....Plus i asked Peter if what i posted was ok.....guys give me the benefit of the doubt sometime...i have zero history of criticizing someone first on b/s/t.

But no one could have known you were the sucker/buyer so it did seem, on surface, to be a poor taste comment. Great card. Congrats....

Understood but noone makes a 'poor taste' comment with a $300 dollar offer to guarantee it wasnt in poor taste to the buyer in the history of net54..

plus the buyer of the card was guaranteed to believe a NL no hitter did not count the same as an AL no hitter or that total bases means more than hits...

Great card, great seller!

BTW, when I first read the "sucker" comment, my first thought was that he was the one who bought it lol

I cleared up the message so you could understand. The message being that CMIZE trolls all my posts and my posts were put on this thread with the permission of Peter. Hope that clears up the gobbledygook. Im sure CMIZE didnt understand any of this because i never bring it up to him so thats why he attacked the messenger.
