It's always exciting to come across something you've never seen before...Got this c1900 hand mirror in the mail the other day....pretty happy with it...The mirror is still in good shape...the back is porcelain...and I believe the Yale 8 man crew scene is hand painted...The markings on it indicate it was made in Germany...Uncharted finds are one of the best things about collecting...ya never know what's out there!!!... <img src="http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc120/CarltonHendricks/Yale%20Crew%20Mirror/Close%20Full_zpsaab4rmjq.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Close Full_zpsaab4rmjq.jpg"/> <img src="http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc120/CarltonHendricks/Yale%20Crew%20Mirror/20160716_015822_zpsmvikoofq.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 20160716_015822_zpsmvikoofq.jpg"/> |

Nice
Bob...Great mirror....I have an example myself I got from Mark Cooper in a trade...there is wall match holder of the same series that features the player that's poised to catch...quite rare also
|
Carlton
(and Bob :-)) nice stuff. I would guess that there's a few other pieces out there with the same scene as your hand mirror. They were most often offered in sets........
I didn't know Mark's interests/conquests were so broad. BTW Bob - I found the REA cover with the BB circus scene. I'll try and remember to send you a pic and the subsequent description...... |
Thanks Carlton and Henry. I bought mine off of eBay earlier this year. I was told by someone in the know about these that the mirror is an original mirror. I dont know for sure and find it difficult to believe that the mirror could have survived all these years.
Henry, I would love to see the picture. Please email it to me. Thanks |

Does your mirror have the little piece at the top of the diamond (where 2nd Base would be?) Bob and I were trying to figure out how that piece would attach to the mirror... Most likely from behind, I suppose. If you have a photo of that portion, please share... Thanks! |
just hangs
