Overkill by Dean's Cards

If someone wants to count how many times Dean's Cards has the near complete set of 1933 Goudeys currently listed on eBay, my hat is off to you. :D

79 times....wonder why eBay's duplicate listing policy did not automatically catch this(like it has done for me in the past, thankfully)?

ksabet 07-14-2016 07:15 AM

Maybe he has 79 different near sets?

Brian, I see that Dean's has close to 1,000 eBay listings for 1933 Goudey cards, and 2 recent sales of 1933 Goudey cards. Does this suggest that hardly anyone is collecting 1933 Goudeys these days? :D

Val,

What Jake said.

+1

Much appreciated when overpriced sellers clearly identify themselves as much up front. Very easy to avoid. Mucho Dinero is the gold standard in that regard.

Steve, at best, Mike Dinero is the silver standard in that regard. I think the gold standard honor belongs to "yepbg" (Brian Goldstein).

People blast Mike Dinero for his prices, but Ive found that sometimes you can catch a few bargains. Ive done so in the past and turned a quick little profit. Bought a beautiful t213 coupon card Tim Jordan graded ata 5 for $261. Sold it at the past Dania show to a fellow member and made a few bucks.

So you mean to tell me Mike Dinero is a dealer?

I have always thought he was a collector wanting to show off his collection each week. ;)

On 1950s high graded stuff commons, he is about 15-20% over what a card is perceived to go for in a .99 cent auction. However he will take 10% off the ebay price directly routinely and maybe a little more. I wouldnt put him in the category of Deans Cards at least for 50s stuff.

There have been items they leave up so long their value catches up with the asking price. It happens.
