Just a regular citizen of the area, his photo taken by Carl Horner. There are many of these and they are often offered as baseball players.

Moses Mann, just as is written on the back.

Hi Spec - how do you know it says Moses Mann on the back? Did you have this in your collection?

Thanks,
Jay

I think it is a young Bryce Harper before the roids and modern look of course .

This one was being offered as 'Man with Moustache' so I was just curious if anyone knew who he was.

I missed out on it anyway. It went for a whopping $10 BIN. Baseball subject or not, you would think Carl Horner photos would still be worth more than that.

It's been listed many, many times on ebay. I believe it may be Moses Whitcher Mann, a somewhat prominent Middlesex, MA home builder at the turn of the prior century.

Carl Horner took many, many studio photos of greater Boston area people for quite some time, most were just your normal portrait sittings, although many of Boston's finest families used his services. The baseball players were a small percentage of his work.
