A bit off track, but did he ever add "the gerbil" to autographs? Because that would be really funny. (I'm guessing the answer would be NO, but weirder things have happened)

I'm not sure steve.
Does anyone have an opinion on this autograph? Thanks |
That looks good to me, I have had a couple signed in person when he was alive and they all look like that.

Hi, I have an extensive Don Zimmer collection (http://www.baseballcardstars.com/zim...ballcards.html). I've researched his wife's autos vs. his own, and have met him twice when he signed autos for me. Your auto looks to be a real Don Zimmer auto. The "D" loop in Don doesn't attach and is narrow, whereas Soot's signed autos have a fuller, rounder D and the loop attaches. Here's an example of a Soot (his wife) signed Zim auto:
http://www.baseballcardstars.com/zim...56_IP_Auto.jpg Soot acknowledged she signed his thru-the-mail fan requests and even the contracts he received through the mail. She even signed his vintage Topps contract, so it's her facsimile signature on 1955 and 1956 Topps cards, not Don's. |
