Considering the prices as of late, I don't think that's a bad price for the 2 of them.

Nope, sorry. That's called delusional.

Hey, I hope they hit the jackpot with an investor. :)

An 8 Koufax just sold for $80,000, and although I don't know for sure, I'd bet a 7.5 Clemente RC isn't far behind that, if it is behind that?

I agree, it's a crazy price but that's the market currently.

Really?! A PSA 8 Koufax sold for $80K?!?! Where, eBay? Major AH?

Absolutely irrational....

$80,625.60 + S/H to be exact... Possibly irrational considering the same auction house sold one's in January 16 and November 15 for under $18k, combined. I dont see this particular Koufax getting any bump either.

"For the discerning collector or the profit-driven investor, this card should be an automatic. The Koufax rookie card’s climb has been as remarkable as Koufax pitching at Dodger Stadium on a hot summer day. We expect the day to come very soon, when Koufax rookies at PSA 8 will be selling well in excess of $200,000 and perhaps as $250,000. If you’ve ever contemplated a Clemente rookie, we strongly encourage you investigate this card."

If Goodwin really expected those prices (200 to 250K lol), he would have been buying the ones on ebay at 25, I would think. Sales talk is cheap, as it always has been.

I couldn't find the "sarcastic font" button on my keyboard when I typed that.

Can't blame the guy for trying. Based on last night's results alone his prices are in line. I don't think he will get it but it doesn't hurt to take a shot.

I was wondering if these sold?

Sounds like they are going to the National, (in his description below) which I assume is the show of all shows based on what I have read lately?

I'd be willing to bet that these DO SELL at National BUT for nowhere close to $158K.

Maraya 07-11-2016 09:33 AM

any one who is in these cards at those prices will be mighty sorry in the not to distant future. They appear to be prices pulled out of the sky or yayaland.
