Lombardi, Grange, Halas
My friend has this baseball. It has three signatures of some pretty significant folks. It has a sticker on it. What are you opinions?

Your friend has a ball with some famous names and a sticker on it. That's about it.
On Halas the "ge" in George is a point to look for, most often, but not always, the point of the "e" is higher than the "g". On Grange, you have the same "ge", but his signature the point of the "e" almost never rises above the top of the "g". On the ball both "ge" patterns are nearly identical. To me, all the writing on the ball was done by one person, none of which were any of the names on the ball. |

That is terrible and a poster child for a forged item. There should have been numerous things that jumped out at you including Vince Lombardi died in 1970

I appreciate each of you taking a minute to respond. I am not an autograph guy yet... My instincts served me correctly. I felt the sticker was bogus and the autographs looked to much alike and didn't match close enough to other online.
A good friend of mine does own this and was hoping to sell it but in light of this advise he is holding off. Again appreciate you all. Jon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
