Please help 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle authentication

I have a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card and I need help determining that it is indeed authentic so I feel comfortable with having it graded

Welcome to the forum.
You put this in the BST section so it was moved to a discussion section. How are we supposed to help? I say it looks kind of iffy, if you ask me. :)

I don't see anything particularly problematic with it.

No clue. But, there aren't any pictures of any fake cards.

Rough crowd especially with a first time poster.

Your pic has a max limit size - so you may have to shrink it if it is not uploading. If you need to shrink the size of the pic - you can do it easily through MS Picture Manager. They have an "Edit" function - and then you can reduce the pic proportionately with the "reduce" options and then enter a specific % in the box.

You can also insert a pic through a hosting site - but unsure how to do this. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this part. Good luck

Here's an easy way to post pictures on the site:

Sign up for a Photobucket account
Upload your photo from your computer to your account
When the photo is uploaded, there will be a set of handy links on the side bar
Click on "Direct" and copy that link
Come back to Net54
Hit the mountain button on the top row when you click Post
Paste the link and hit OK

Voila!

Mantle

Why would not having it graded be the best way to authenticate it ?

I think he's trying to avoid dropping the big $$$ to have a valuable card graded unless he's sure it's legit.

If this is that infamous "Invisible 52 Mantle," I guarantee it's a reprint.

The OP sent pictures over 4mb each. I was out of pocket and couldn't work with them but here they are, resized. Yes they were a bit too big for our internal system to handle. Otherwise, we were just having a little fun. ( Save the money, don't try to get it graded, as it won't)

They even did a godawful job of trying to cut the copy down to size with dull scissors. Don't send that at all.
