With that centering? Is this a mistake or a fake?

That is hysterical. And all of the lemmings think this is a proper grade as PSA can't do wrong. hehehehehe

I get a 7 if I send that card in. Possibly an 8 PD if I'm having a good day.

Judging by the certificate number on the holder, this looks like a very early grade. PSA seems to have been rather " generous " with grading in the early years, but have tightened up their grading quite a bit as of late. As others have said, if the card were regraded now, it's likely a 7.

The smudge in thompkins name, the scratch in the sky by thompkins head, the smear over JBs hat the runs into the Reds ! Forget the centering lol . The back has the same issues going on also.

If it's a resub from a older grade wouldn't psa correct it ?
If it's real this is the best case to see if buyers are only concerned about the
"Flip" .

If it is real why not throw it in a auction house ?

It looks like an earlier number...but it resides in a hologram holder. So it is either newly graded, or was submitted for a re-holder.

Don't know PSA's policy regarding re-holdering older grades, and whether they actually look at the cards or not.

Or it's the work of the scammers.

Hi all,

In this market, might you have a guess on how much a PSA 10 Bench rookie might sell for? I ask (as I’ve posted in other threads) that one day I hope to own one (with the correct spelling of THE on the top line of the back.)

Best always,
John

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but that's what I first thought.

Another high end card with no previous sales history. Seems to be recurring theme.
