If You Could Own Any Sports Related Movie Prop...
What would it be?
I think my number one selection would be "Wonder Boy" from The Natural, but I would also love to own the postcard of the Hackensack Bulls team that Monty Brewster sent with the Upside Down Jenny stamp on it in Brewster's Millions. How about you? |
Great thread idea!
I'm thinking the gloves Rocky used to beat Apollo! |

The hockey stick putter from Happy Gilmore. Or Chubb's fake hand.

An original Hansen Brothers Jersey from Slap Shot. A Paul Newman Jersey came up for sale a few years ago.
Tom C |
A Sox jersey from Eight Men Out
|
The Ruth ball from The Sandlot.
|
Jim Craig's jersey from Miracle on Ice. Since I can't afford the real deal Leland's is auctioning...
|
The charm bracelet Gary Cooper (Lou Gehrig) gives to his wife (Theresa Wright) in Pride of the Yankees. Made of Lou's World Series rings, MVP awards, etc.
They used the real one in the movie. ;) |
Joe E Brown's Rosedale, Kansas jersey from Firefighter save my child.

Bad News Bears- Buttermaker's Jacket

I would like to have the bull billboard in Bull Durham. Get a free steak if you hit the bull with a homerun!

I photographed those once. The studio sent over a bunch of stuff from the first 3 movies to shoot for a book, and it included the gloves, robe, trunks and other things. Usually it's pretty standard stuff, but this was very cool. Thought about not sending a few things back for a nano second, but figured they'd miss it. |

I haven't seen the movie in years so I am surprised I even thought of it? I just might to do the same. :) |
Frankensteins car from Deathrace - the 1975 version of course.
On my budget I can probably afford the foil from slapshot. (My wife has an actual movie prop, from one of the Terry Pratchett movies. Teeth collected by the tooth fairy who in the story wasn't at all nice. I was pretty excited to get them for her, a free gift when ordering the DVD from a place that was really connected with him. Then I saw the scene in the movie and realized they had literally thousands of them. Still pretty cool) Steve B |
Cerrano's Jobu doll from 'Major League'...

Since a few people are already after Wonderboy, I will take the Savoy Special. Since Wonderboy broke on the final at bat, Bobby handed Roy the Savoy Special which he hit the walk off homerun with.
By the way you can buy copies of Wonderboy here is mine... |
Ted knights billy baroo. Oh billy billy.
|
James Caan's jersey from Rollerball. The one from the end of the movie with the tears and blood all over it.
|
The baseball field from Field of Dreams.

Everyone should go. I was there last in 2011. They still had the grandstand that Costner had carved "Ray loves Annie" in.

You need to see Sandlot. I'll take Ray Liotta's Sox Uniform from Field of Dreams. PS- In December Stallone auctioned a ton of his movie props, including a bunch of Rocky stuff. I bid on a few things, but ultimately prices went very high. I would've loved gloves, shoes or a robe. |
Fantastic!

How about Rudy's uniform when he finally dressed out? One of the best feel good sports movies of all time....
|
I'd like to have the Carl Yastrzemski bat that they are holding on the stairs in the Stephen King movie The Shining
