It's good.

I like it, 2k isn't a bad price either, how big is the auto?

Joey, be extremely careful. This example is a known replica (reproduction) that popped up a few years ago and was in several different places. There is one original, obviously, but many fake ones produced that look just like the exact example, staining and all. It's made to be on the back of a civil engineers card if I remember correctly. Will try to post an example when I have time later but may not be able get to it if someone else can jump in and do a google search for it. Seriously, don't buy it without looking into this.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. I'm not trying to jump in after everyone has already submitted an opinion (because believe it or not I love to "go first"), but I asked Joey via PM to provide a greater overall picture of what it is signed on. The autograph is a little too bold to be signed on something so discolored/yellow....

Here are two shots of a reproduction one, and then likely the original.

Notice how the first one you posted actually looks a different color than the second larger one you posted.

And lastly a shot of what is probably the original used to make the laser copy reproductions ( though this one could be a replica I suppose as well, I wouldn't touch any that look like this at this point)

GREAT work Jeff!

Jeff i cant thank you enough. I did some more research and the seller has been known to sell mantle forgeries on ebay. I asked him about the color difference and he had no explanation. He was like "i have a offer of 2300 from a dealer but would rather sell it for 2k to a collector" . Yaaaaa right.....thanks again to all u guys

I disagree. Black ink is very stable.

Using a scan, it is not possible to determine whether the item is original, or a laser-printed copy. Only direct handling can do that.

It's really fortunate for Joey that Jeff is so well-educated that he recognized this particular signature.

Bravo, Jeff!

100% agree. However, it just looked off to me. The signature did not match the medium. And I said so privately via PM with Joey. But I agree that you can't tell via scan...

Thanks guys, glad I could help. If anyone is interested, here are the two examples of this replica (and yes they had certs and sold though major auctions) that had initially set off the red flags. I can't recall exactly but "I think" the certs may have been faked (or at least these two because they had the same number I believe, I suppose it could have been a copy of the original cert for the one authentic example of these cards that exists, assuming there was one). I remember spending almost a whole day looking into it a couple years ago (and may have even posted about it here)
