I picked up 3 unopened packs (envelopes) of these on eBay last night. Thought it would be fun to open them up.

The set includes 144 subjects, 10 of which are baseball players (listed below).

Here are some negatives I used to own..and an associated envelope...

I have a couple Dazzy Vance in rough shape and a beat up envelope. Also have a print (probably a fake, restrike or whatever you want to call it).

Justin, I like the Dazzy where the envelope is cut away just enough so you can tell what's inside. That's cool.

I've read that many of them had the image/player name stamped on the outside of the envelope. I wonder why some did and some didn't?

I noticed our envelopes are different. Mine has "Sun Pictures" at the bottom and no mention of Leader Novelty. I wonder if the name stamps were just added during certain envelope printings? I haven't seen many of these so I have no idea.

Hi Chris, yep, that Ruth is mine. I won it at a Huggins and Scott Auction a couple of years ago.
