Hello... Hello again... and again...
Just reacquired for the third time this beautifully signed T202 of Zack Wheat. This has got to be some sort of record of buying, selling, and buying back... again and again... at ever increasing prices (at least to me on the purchase side)! Does anybody have a similar history with the same card coming in and out of their collections over the course of a decade?

Sold in Mastro Auctions - June 2008 - for $400. Bought back from auction winner for $750 in 2011. Sold in private sale on February 4, 2012 for $800 Purchased at Clean Sweep Auctions this week for $2,000. I probably should've just held onto it! |
Ya think? But, sometimes you think you know what you want, and you change your mind. Just be happy you have it back. And if you can double your money again like you did the first time, you'll be way ahead!

I sold a particular t205 AB for $75.
I then decided to start my AB t205 set. The card came back up for sale with my same scan here on the BST for $45 a few months later. I am so glad that it did, because I haven't seen another one since this happened two years ago. |
Let me know if you want to recoup your original $200 investment. :D

Actually, you don't even need to recoup the most recent buying price to come out ahead. You've spent a total of $2,950 the three times you bought the card, and received a total of $1,200 the two times you've sold it. So, you need to sell it for $1,750 to "break even". But, like GasHouseGang said, if you double your money on the most recent buy, you will be way ahead! Nice card, by the way :) Steve |
Very nice card. Glad you were able to get it back.

Anyway, I love that card and one day I will own it. It will sit in a prominent place so it can bring me joy and curiosity on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing Leon. |

Just call him Tiny Tim Melchoir
Sadly, only the D311 Pacific Coast Biscuit set has Melchoir tiptoeing through the tulips image. That 1911 Obak has to be one of my favorite fantasy baseball cards though.

There's an autographed version. He signed it "F. E. Melchoir".
