Tinkering with an Ebay Seller

Here's the link

Here's my question

I have been collecting vintage cards for decades and have never seen a blue Sweet Caporal back on a T206. This must be a very rare card. I would stop your auction and raise the price, before you literally give it away.

Here's their answer

I was thinking that but I haven't had it graded so I can't tell if it's a reprint or not, maybe I should close the auction and have it graded.

The auction continues with 14 bids (only 2 unique bidders though), closing in less than five hours.

Hopefully there aren't two aggressive snipe bids placed.:eek::eek:

To me, the lettering on the front is too black to be authentic. And isnt it just a bit too convenient that the enlarged picture of the reverse shows that a strategic portion of the card has "suffered" from some obvious scratching.

Perhaps he used the other item he is selling, colored pencils.

I don't know if I'd ever want to take a chance on that Tinker.

Two shows nightly.

The reprint card sold, not so much the pencils. I guess there is a better market in fakes...

Leon, I suspect not many folks search Ebay for pencils, but I could be wrong.

Customer: How much is that yellow pencil w/ the pink eraser? It's not priced.

Dealer: Quickly grabs his BPPPG (Beckett Pencil Pusher Price Guide)--It's .29 cents.

Customer: Do you have it in red w/ No. 3 lead & a green eraser?
