1929-1931 Reach Official American League Barnard Baseball w/Original Box!! The same ball the likes of Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons hit out of parks and Grove and Hubbell threw past hitters. fresh out of the box.

Per Brandon Grunbaum's book History of the Baseball...a 1929-31 Reach Official E.S. Barnard American League Ball is listed at $2000.00 and that's just the ball, and that was 2014, a few years ago! The box is listed at $150. We've all seen recent prices in everything RISING (see examples of the 2 links below).

I've seen just this box go for $782 at MEARS and it didn't even have the seal:

This one comes with the seal. The cover however is loose, but when put on, you wouldn't know. It also comes with the original tissue paper inside the box. Amazing it's survived all these years.

Of note this comes from the family of HOFer Al Simmons. One time belonging to Simmons. They recently found this ball, a few checks, other documents, etc. from their great uncle Al, an amazing new discovery, in Milwaukee, where Al resided. He died in 1956 at the age of 54.

A fully sealed one (also from the Simmons estate) just sold at REA for over $7K. Only real difference is this one is open, and kind of cool when placed side by side. The new owner of the REA one can't even view his, or place it side by side with the box, you can : )
