REA Countdown

Maybe I am missing something, and by all means correct me if I am wrong.

Last year there as a countdown in REA that you could watch go all of the away to zero and know for certain the action closed just like all other auction houses, and this year they changed that and you have to look at that last bid and determine if it is within the last 15 minutes?

Am I smoking the good stuff or am I correct? Thoughts please.

The new website looks great and I love the larger images. Each time I looked at the clock it appeared to count all the way down to zero and then reset only after it hit 0. Not very helpful if you are trying to gauge bidding activity. SCP does this too and I had thought they were the only one but maybe REA has always done it this way. Almost forces you to put in top alls.

Also I thought the previous version of the site made it more clear which lots you were high bidder on. I bid in so many auctions so I could be mistaken here too. High bids are indicated with a "yes" or "no" but the bid amounts on high bids are not highlighted or separated from the bids which are not winning.

Great content in the auction as always so worth putting up with minor things like this.

Ok. So I am not as much of an idiot as I thought I was.

I don't think it was minor. If the action says it is going until X time, I expect it to go that long.

If I miss and it slips by me that is one thing, but if you say its going X later, then you should do that, and there was definitely some weird timing going on.

That image was not take only 3 minutes out. It was at least 4-6 or 7 minutes plus before I decided to ensure I captured the issue with a screen shot.
