Ryan
Bob--I am working on something really snide to say but need more time.
Great stuff. Are you sad to be at the end ? The only other Topps Ryans I have are the 82 Blackless and 85 Minis, blank back and regular back. My blank back in a white back. It can be found in tan. I have many cards in red only backs ( no green ink) as well. I assume the Ryan can be found that way, but I have not seen it. I think the rarest Topps Ryan is his appearance in the NL Game 3 that is part of the limited 1970 prototype Cloth set. It looks like the regular card but is cloth with a sticker back. I have only seen one, owned by a sometime board member. I only have one of the 70 Cloth " cards" http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/...539/img025.jpg http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/...539/img030.jpg |
Ryan
He also appears in the 1984 Topps prototype Encased or Head In the Box set where the inserts are completely within the box unlike the regular cards

Very nice, Begsu!! :D
|
Now you have to go after every other card he has that is not Topps.....
Kelloggs, Hostess, MSA, and a few hundred more I would suspect....... That will keep you busy for a few more years. But that is a great collection of a great player. And thank you so much for sending me the odd ball 77 Topps Cloth cards with blank fronts of Lou Brock a while back. |
Bob,
Very impressive collection you have amassed. Thanks for sharing. |
Very nice collection! May I ask why you have multiples? Just cause or is there a specific reason. Just curious.
|
Sick collection. Well done!
|
Nice Ryan collection!!! So what's next?

ironically enough, it's another bob that owns the 70 cloth sticker you are referring to, isn't it? but i knew about the 82 blackless cards, but i didn't know ryan had one... and so there are 2 different versions of the 85 mini? |
Absolutely beautiful; the MOST ADVANCED Ryan run I've ever seen.
The '68 Venezuelan is incredible. Nice job, sir! |
wow!
My favorites are the Venezuelan Rookie (still looking for one), The 1971 O-Pee-Chee and and the 1971 Topps 8.5. In that order - Wow! what an amazing collection - thanks for sharing. DO you have the 1973 pinup and comic?

What a great bunch of cards!
And since you're expecting it.......... some of them got really nice grades considering they've been written on. :D Just kidding, sometimes I wish I had enough focus to do something like that. Steve B |
Unbelievable for the quantity of 1970s PSA 10s if nothing else. That 1981 Topps is also really tough to get in PSA 10.
If you're looking for some more additions then I'd add the 1980s Woolworth, Drakes and Revco since they were produced by Topps. |
Awesome stuff, Bob! I'm just getting caught back up in the Net54 universe, and I hadn't seen your post until now. Yowza.

Speaking of the guy with the 70 Cloth Ryan...here's Bob
