This is the way tobacco cards were meant to be saved. This album produced by W D & H O Wills contains the complete set of 50 Association Footballers. The album itself shows some wear, but the cards themselves were affixed to the album in near mint condition.

As you can see the cards display beautifully. The text in the album is the same text that is printed on the reverse of these cards. I have left the album intact as an example of period collecting. I have not tried to soak cards from one of these albums, as in my opinion the set as a single piece is worth more than the individual cards.
