Masters Tickets
 

Does anyone here have experience/information about buying Masters tickets on the secondary market? I have looked at Stubhub and some of the online ticket brokers and the prices seem to be $1500-1700 for a one-day pass.

Would it be cheaper to buy one from a scalper in Augusta? Anyone ever tried this?

That's pretty expensive for a one day pass. Problem is you want to buy from a reputable source and probably have the ticket in hand prior to traveling. Sometimes it's worth paying more to be sure. Again, that seems a little high. What day were you planning on going? Tournament days are going to be more expensive than a practice round day.

I'm going for Friday's tournament round.

In my experience buying day of should be best way esp if you are looking for a single. Thursday gonna be cheapest Friday and Sat You will understand why they call it the toughest ticket in sports. If you have the time Sunday is great day and cheaper than Sat. Good luck a great time almost Guaranteed.

pretty standard for a 1 day pass actually from a reputable source.

will be there wed for the par 3 tourney and saturday.

Thanks for all the responses. I appreciate everyone's input.

It seems I can either have the piece of mind and lock in a ticket via a reputable source like Stubhub and spend the extra money or take my chances with a scalper outside the course and spend less, but have no guarantee.

As I am traveling with others who already have their tickets I think I will opt to pay the extra and have the ticket in-hand.
