I saw that the first time I saw this card. I think it is hilarious how nonchalant Matty is, like he is thinking "Just another day of baseball."

Think the card was actually made at a TRUMP rally. Trying to make America Great again with America's past time

A different era for sure. I think a guy getting hit in the head with a bat during practice would be a pretty big deal today. Maybe even a lifetime ban for the player. At least a season or two.

Looks like someone threw a ball at his nuts then the other dude blasted him Tommy Boy style straight across the face.

Haha, yep, I noticed this in the past and chuckled a bit when seeing the REA preview. Like edjs said, much of the humor lies in the fact that Matty is just sitting there oblivious to the assault taking place behind him. :D

I believe he is just adjusting his cup on the mound just like modern players do.
