Greetings all!

Based on polling result from 34 participants ESPN will be our host provider. Below you will find the link for the group:

Again, I'm excited to set this up for everyone and look forward to large numbers and a lot of fun.

EDIT: Leon has graciously put a t-shirt in the prize pool.

EDIT#2: I've contact the supposed holder of the Hal Chase trophy card, waiting to hear back

Again, I'm excited to set this up for everyone and look forward to large numbers and a lot of fun.

The suggestion to sticky this for a day or so was a good one, thanks. Also, if folks want to chime in here concerning if the other brackets in the past included money, or not, it would be great.

Does anyone remember the days when no money was involved and the winner of the Net 54 contest got bragging rights and possession of the T206 Hal Chase holding trophy card for 365 days? Sigh...

I'm all for having the pool for Leon's T-shirt, the Hal Chase card, bragging rights & anything else someone might choose to offer up as a prize reward.

Does it make any difference what site supports the pool?? I believe they all publish instant, up-to-date, comprehensive totals don't they?

They do and it doesn't but I know in the past that people I have played with hate one provider and love another. Just giving everyone an opportunity to contribute with their .02

I signed up and found the net54 (matty group)..

Of course the field has not been selected, so we can't fill out brackets etc...

We can do that on Sunday/Monday.

I "think" I'm registered, but maybe it won't let me fully get in until the brackets are selected?

Hi Guys,

I did win last year, but I never took possession of the Chase trophy card. I've been in touch with Jacob and given him my best lead on its whereabouts. If it doesn't turn up, I will definitely supply a new Chase trophy card so the great tradition continues. I will follow this thread for updates.

Everyone that voted for a provider please let me know preference as to money (20, 10) or no money. So far have only heard from one person and myself in regards to the pool.

I would love to hear EITHER way, just trying to clarify.

Please make note that not all sizes are available (but many are).......It doesn't seem members are very interested in the money aspect of it.

Joshgators would be your espn username, the espn###### is your bracket name, it's randomly generated if you have never had a espn username in the past. You can change it to anything, gators rock etc.

So far we have three votes for money and one for no money.

I'll give it till tonorrow morning to hear from more people.

With conference tournaments in full swing and selection Sunday two days away I'll make the call on this.

Out of 34 voters on the site we only have 6 who are in the pool currently.

Prizes will include: 1)Hal Chase Trophy card, if we can't find who has it (I got the info from Brian but have yet to make contact) Brian said he would lend his for the honor? 2)T-shirt from Leon, he has various sizes (hope its your size!)
3) And some cash!!! Everyone aside from one voted on some form of money, with the majority (4) being 20 and another 10.

I say we just do a $10 entry, winner take all (especially with the small group size so far). If more people join and the group number rises significantly we can pay out top 2 or 3 but the card and shirt will only go to first place.

This is a reminder again for those that voted and have not joined the pool, if you would like to play the link is on the OP, entry is $10
