52 Topps Willie Mays PSA 9 on ebay

Hello All,

Would like opinions on this auction. The Cert checks out, but according to PSA, there should be a PSA hologram on the front flip. It doesn't look like it's there. Thoughts?

The seller usually has steller cards, if that helps!

Well at $350,000 , that lets me out---wonder where the seller got this card--I don't see a hologram on front

Yes, the hologram is there now, and the centering looks better in the new scan than the previous photos.

Mays

Great inventory. You would think he would invest $112 on a scanner for his stuff.

Pokerply, just to let you know, I clicked the link in your post/homepage and immediately got a warning from Avast that said, "threat detected".

It blocked the site from me going any further. Not sure what's up, but you may have been hacked or at the very least, look into it.

I strictly use Avast for a reason. I also CCleaner, free from filehippo.com (you can get a free Avast download there to but I chose the purchased, higher level one) the after I close out the internet.

Good luck. Hopefully it is nothing serious?

Common issue with collector focus on some browsers.

Sorry, Peter. I don't understand what you mean?

Peter_Spaeth 02-28-2016 07:07 PM

Collector Focus is the website where his collection resides. It commonly generates warning messages for some reason.

Thanks. :)

pokerplyr80 02-28-2016 11:38 PM

I was going to ask if you had tried to visit collector focus via any other link. I didn't think that a link to a public site could indicate a problem with my computer, but I'm by no means a tech expert and was a little worried. I think Peter's response means I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Are you claiming the card now pictured is different than the one this seller originally posted? If true that would certainly be a concern, although not to me personally as I don't have 350k lying around to purchase that card.

jmatrisc 02-29-2016 05:55 AM

I think it's the same card. The original photos were taken at a slight angle which made the card appear more OC than it was. $350K is way out of my league too.
