Autographed baseball storage
I have a few autographed baseballs I'm looking to store for possibly a year or more & looking for the best way to store them.
I'm concerned about the autographs fading & the ball toning. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance. |
You will be fine keeping them in a dark space, room temp...just make sure it's not a place with lots of moisture like a basement. When I had to store mine for a time I put them in totes, closed the lid, kept them off the ground and in a closet. If you have a lot just make sure the ball cubs are stacked too heavily, I have seen some over time make a small flat spot on the ball on the parts touching the top and bottom (especially if they are older baseballs that have swelled some) As a side note, some of the best preserved signed baseballs I have seen were those that were actually "kept in a sock" in a dresser drawer for many decades. Probably kept the moisture away and nice and dark so no light exposure.

Thanks Jeff...that makes sense to me.
I do have some value in these baseballs. |
