Awesome! What a great collection of early Vancouver sports, and they contacted the right man for the job. Nicely done Max! Time to check the attic :)

Great story! Hey Max! Hope you and the family are well. Did you see the thread about the Feller book poster?
|
Love hearing stuff like this. :)

Just read the on-line article and asked the wife to pick up a Sun at the market. What an absolutely terrific trove of Vancouver deadball goodies!
|
Amazing story! So many collections just sitting out there untouched.

Sporting what?
Cool, but something mentioned in the article doesn't quite sound correct. The cards found are identified as being from the Sporting Life issue. But Joe Jackson didn't have a M116 Sporting Life card issued. Is it the M101-2 Sporting News supplements that they actually meant? Does that mean the other cards mentioned are actually from the M101-2 set?

Would love to see the prewar cards...Can we could get more pictures of the collection posted?

A pair of 1914 Vancouver Millionaires programs??
Killer!! Would love to see pics. |
Great job, Max! A grand story that was made possible by Vancouver's historic baseball treasure.
