Nice card, but the shipping and handling......

Thought it might be a mistake, but he put it in the description as well. Interesting attention getter. It worked. To his credit, he does state in the title to read the description:

What a goofball. I'd never drop that kind of loot on someone running something that ridiculous. Maybe he's on the up and up, but that's totally absurd.

Clydewally 02-16-2016 03:13 PM

He's also apparently sold it a couple of times.

I guess math and or numbers wasn't a strong point

My guess is he is trying to avoid ebay fees---the card would sell for a few cents and the fee would be low, but he gets you with the shipping---Who knows---Maybe if it was a straight 8---

eBay charges based on the entire transaction amount. You can't skirt the fees by jacking up the shipping.

Correct. He thinks it's circa 2008 and that he's outsmarting eBay. Maybe he just came out of a coma...

insidethewrapper 02-16-2016 04:29 PM

This way the buyer only gets 2 cents of ebay bucks !

philliesfan 02-16-2016 04:47 PM

Maybe its to cover airfare to hand deliver the card?

How does he know the buyer isn't local? If I wanted it I'd have someone I know in Charlotte just pick it up to avoid the "shipping".

You should ask him if this is an option. :D
