Was doing some research and saw the legendary site is down. Is this some sort of temp tech problem or does someone know if this is a longer term situation?

Legendary

They stopped paying their bills so we took the site down.

Or if you look at it this way the Government took him down!;);)

Sorry to see their archive go as it was great for research. What happens to all their scans and descriptons?

bcornell 02-11-2016 07:00 PM

Edited to add: Bob Freedman, it's a static site with a lot of good data. Can we pass the hat around to keep it up?

+1

I (obviously) don't know anything about the property aspect of the data, but I would love to have it available. Definitely a few scans I can think of that I didn't save but should have.

I'd throw in to keep it up.

(as a sidenote, a reminder that the internet is permantent! LOL)

I don't believe they keep the large scans, but the Wayback Machine has 100+ captures since 2009. So you can go to the date when a particular auction would have been the "current" auction and see listings that way.

Even so, I'd still like to have the original site back, at least for awhile.

Cheers,
Steve

It can be pretty difficult to dig deep into a site through the archive, although it's great for front pages.

[REMOVED] This forum is done.

bobfreedman 02-11-2016 08:48 PM

Goldin bought the data and the mailing list. We were paying the hosting fees for the dedicated server that it was residing on. Our intention was to keep it up until after the sentencing as requested. We are currently looking at hosting the data (including images) it on its own server so everyone can access the data. We can't just leave it up, we need to get permission etc...

As one AH goes down (Legendary), PWCC sets record prices across the board.

The AH shuffle is just starting.

Would be nice if an Investigation Shuffle followed the AH Shuffle over to good ol' eBay

Just a follow up in regards to post #14. There was mention that the Legendary auction history with images could be available in the future? I would be interested in this info, even if a fee were associated. Anyone else?
