Help. 75 Yankees Team with black border?
 

Can someone help me with this card? Found it today. What's with the black border?

Probably hand cut from the sheet of checklists mail-in offer. The Yankees card was on the left of the sheet with the wider black border showing.

I've never heard of those. Thank you! How many were on a sheet? Are these 'common'?

I need the Brewers checklist and briefly thought about buying it and cutting it up, but decided not to. I just bought a PSA slabbed Braves checklist - they are labeled as hand cut.

Here is a partial scan of the 1975 mail in sheet with the Yankees team card. They were made from 1975 to 1982, some years are more scarce than others. I believe the 1975's are somewhat plentiful. I have always heard that the 1975 sheet was only made in the normal stock, but I also have a cut 1975 Cubs card that is white and and thin, so apparently there was a short print run where they switched over to same stock that they used for 1976 to 1982.
