For Trade: HTF Centered 1972's (scan heavy)
If you're trying to complete a centered 1972 set, then I present to you some of the holy grails (hyperbolize much?) of centering for that year. These cards are centered better than 99.9% of their counterparts out there. Some of these guys are in beautiful shape, while others have a corner issue here and there (especially the Aarons). Most of these are really, really, really hard to find even remotely close to centered in any way, shape or form.

If you have any questions, LMK. I am very interested in these: • HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's • Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente & Mickey Mantle cards • 1958 Topps HOF'ers • Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's • 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's • T-206's • 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1972 Topps FB high numbers (need these in exmt+ shape: 271 Warfield AP, 277 Eller AP, 304 Dale, 308 Morrall, 312 Marsalis, 336 Marshall, 341 Butkus) • 1972-73 OPC Hockey starter set with stars and/or high numbers • 1962 Topps 'green tints' graded 7, 8 and higher • 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in exmt or better shape |

Friendly bump…as opposed to the ole hostile and unpleasant bump.
Bump it.
Man, I love the '72s, first set I collected as a kid. Wish I still had that stuff. Absolutely love the Mays IA. Wish I had some stuff you need.
Bump. For those of you who pay attention to these things, a sharp, ungraded, centered Bob Barton 'In Action' card closed at $76 on ebay today. Yowza!! A low numbered common. That's how tough it is to find the cards in this thread centered.
Bump. Still looking for traders.
Anyone looking to upgrade the centering of their sets with these cards? Give me a shout.
Let's bump it.
I need many of these to update my '72 set - you have some really tough cards to find centered. Would you consider accepting, in trade, many paper rectangles with pictures of dead presidents on them? I understand these rectangles can then be re-traded to aquire all the cards on your wantlist. :D
I sure wish you'd just sell some of these! If you ever do, please let me know!!! |
Bump it.

Added a couple of cards, including a gorgeous PSA 9 Joe Pepitone IA, one of the undisputed toughest cards to find centered in the 1972 set.
Traders welcome! |

Scans updated.
Hyperbole updated... Added what is, for my money, the toughest 1972 to find even remotely centered, the #582 Expos Team card, to the mix. Here's a better scan with a black background to show how great the centering is both ways. Slight touches to a couple of corners. Loch Ness Monster? Bigfoot? Ha!! Those guys are easy to find. This sucker is basically the Amelia Earhart of the baseball card world… Attachment 248189 |
Added a few more to the tally, including a nearly perfect Tom Terrific. Just beautiful!!!
Bump. If you're focused on centering, give me a shout.
Bump.
Added three more ridiculously-hard-to-find-centered beauties to the mix (bottom row), including HOF'er Willie Stargell In Action, an absolutely impossible card to find centered both ways. http://i1036.photobucket.com/albums/...psc1s7mqm3.jpghttp://i1036.photobucket.com/albums/...psa0oxssqq.jpg I also moved all group scans to the front page for easier viewing... |
Bump. Paid a pretty penny for another beautifully centered Willie Stargell IA, and added it to the tally. Scans updated.
Bump. Beautifully centered, high graded, high numbered Traded cards of HOF'ers Joe Morgan and Frank Robinson added to the mix.
Bump. Added another ridiculously well-centered Willie Mays In Action to the group.
