Hey Kevin,

What's the length of the bat?

Thanks.

Kevin, that is a FANTASTIC bat:eek:

I've never seen another in 25 years of collecting. The deep branding, grip, and patina are outstanding. Congratulations on a real show stopper.

thanks Mike I know it's got to be extremely rare and that's why I'm asking I just can't seem to locate when they issued it

The handle is a reeded type material and not carved . Spalding produced these 1895-1900 era

Yours is in great condition and as long as it is not cracked I would sell it for $1500-1700 maybe higher to the right person

This is the 3rd of these that I have seen unless this was one of the other 2. Jim the handle is lathed this way and is not the leather or twined rap like you are thinking. I believe the bat to be from the 1908-early teens. Haven't seen it in the catalogs but haven't specifically looked either. Definitely a rare bat.

Jim you couldn't be more wrong it is carved into the wood it is a wood handle. It is not reeded....

I would also differ on the dating period. The price would be awesome though.

Kevin what is that model # 152 or 157? I'll check my catalogs when I get home.
