1960 Rome Olympic badges
 

Does anyone know what the various colors on the 'ATLETA' badges signified? Mine has an orange background. I know that light blue means 'Swimming' because an ebay seller told me they found it in a list (which they won't share :(), but I have been unable to figure out what the orange background means.
