Wow..this made my day
So I'm a HOF auto collector...stuck in late 230's....but that'll happen when you grow up and rings and houses come into play....
I've been active, just at a lower scale..swapping out the cheaper baseball card 'sticker' autos for older examples, or ON CARD examples. I have like 4 Hank Aarons, and was going to off my one..... 2001 Topps Archives on card Aaron /50. It's the one card in my collection I didn't buy or pull. My dad was selling stuff for people 10 years+ ago when eBay wasn't super super popular to help people out, and the guy, who he said worked for Topps, gave him the Aaron (probably never saw a pack). I was given it since he could care less..... Here I am figuring it's just a simple, on card auto from topps....you see them on eBay 200-400 bucks maximum.... but then I come across this ??? (click on red hot and rare beckett story) https://www.google.com/#q=topps+archives+red+hot+rare and this? http://www.psacard.com/Articles/Arti...vintage-appeal One of these Aarons sold for $2550 in '13 ...Geez He's alive for crying out loud.... Anyone familiar with 01 Archives Autos? Are they truly the holy grail of 'newer' cards? How should I go about selling this thing? Ebay with a high BIN and entertain offers? Here I was thinking I'd be lucky to get $300. You think I could get $3000 haha? here's my scan.. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pszjneabco.jpg |
Wow, maybe I can sell my 4 '54 Aaron signed rooks for $25,000

I don't know what they're worth today, but when they came out they were a big deal because they had the orange background, whereas the non-signed versions had an inauthentic yellow background.

There is a Bloch behind his ear maybe that's why it was pull from packs . Maybe there is 51 of these cards .
