Can you resist extra ebay bucks offers

I get a lot of offers to buy on Ebay with 3-times, 4-times, and 5-times the normal Ebay Bucks. A lot. I guess the more you use them the more you get.

I can't control myself, I get these offers and tell myself I can't afford a buy now big enough to get the most Ebay Bucks, but after about half a day there I am on Ebay using the deal. I am a total sucker. This period I have almost $200 in Ebay Bucks due to these deals, my most ever.

Can you guys resist these offers?

Oh man, still a week to go this year, I pray I dont get another offer!!

it easy to resist on BIN's if they are marked easily over 20% over what they go for auction...as the most you can save is 10% on ebay bucks....on the rare occasion I find a BIN that I really want that's listed close to market price ebay bucks are hard to resist but that hasn't happened all year...if an auction happens to end on a day when you have ebay bucks now that's a different story!

Ebay gift cards at Target

My local Target has been selling Ebay $25 and $50 gift cards. If you have a red Target credit card you get 5% off. Every little bit helps.

Yes, thats good!! Stuff like that adds up. Its like buying the gasoline card at Publix when they have their $10 off on a $50 card (I see you are in Lauderhill), I buy ALL my gas on these cards so in essence I am buying gas at 20% off!!

Also buying an Ebay gift card (which I have seen at Publix also without a discount though) is a nice sneaky was to spend money on Ebay without the wife knowing it, as it shows up on the credit card bill as PUBLIX. :D

I can't resist! Or they at least nudge me along. I normally buy the reasonably (relatively) priced BINs I've been watching or put in offers that are at a level I'd pay. There's also been a handful of times that I'm eyeing auctions that happen to end in the Tue/Wed window these deals are usually offered.

Resistance is futile.

I do not even try to resist. I always keep a few cards in my watchlist that may be slightly overpriced BIN's in the $50-$200 range. Depending on the offer, as soon as I receive it, I'll just pull the trigger on one of those cards without giving it much thought. Every once in a while, I'll tell the wife that I received an offer and have her pick a purse or something instead. That seems to keep everybody happy.

The ebay bucks are magical at this time of the year. I did most of my boys' Christmas shopping with ebay bucks deals and now Dad's got himself a little cashola for the first of the year when the certificate comes. I am one of those also that keeps a few bin's that I'd like to have but not chasing. Then, when the ebay bucks offer comes... BAM!

mrmopar 12-26-2015 06:19 PM

It's easy for me. I have received only 1 of the X bucks offers…ever! it was 2 or 3X and I only bought one item that qualified. I'd probably consider a 33 Goudey Ruth if I could score some 5X bucks!!

I just wish I could figure out how to get one of those offers. I have literally never received even one. I've updated, and reupdated my preferences on ebay, and still have yet to receive an extra bucks offer :(

While some BINs are overpriced, that are alot that aren't. Not trying to toot my own horn or anything, but I CONSTANTLY sell cards at BIN's that are under VCP average. And I am not alone. It takes a little work, and you have to be fast because they usually get snapped up pretty quickly.

You guys would have appreciated an article I read a while back about when the government was trying to introduce dollar coins into circulation. They had a deal where you could buy as many as you wanted with a credit card and free shipping. A few people figured out you could charge 10s of thousands of them on an Amex and then deposit them in the bank and pay off the bill. They were flying around the world for free with the bonus miles. By the time I heard about it, it was too late.

Gambling websites back in the day you could buy in with Discover and also get a 10% bonus..you basically could bet both ways and lose the 10% bonus but got the cashback for free and your post up money (plus lots of ways not so direct to lose 10% and use the rollover etc) ..could literally deposit 1 million dolllars over a year plus could use many online gaming websites there were 50+ of them
