Aaron signature authenticity
Afternoon, all!
I'm here to get opinions on this alleged Hank Aaron autograph. To my untrained eye, it looks similar to, for instance, one seen on the PSA site, and also this one sold at Steiner. However, it also has traits of this one labeled a fake in this forum. I'm looking at things like the harpoon point on the first leg of the H, the separation of the Aa, and the reduction of the r to a single point. I don't really know what I'm doing though. Thank you for the help! |
I don't feel comfortable with it...

First of all, thank you for the reply. I'll skip out on buying this particular item, which seemed priced too good to be true anyway.
Second, I wonder if you might share your process of making that call? As you saw in the first post, I tried to do my own research, but wasn't sure which details should be consistent, and which might vary from specific signature to specific signature. |
This sounds cliché but the signature looks slowly drawn....not a natural flow. I have particular problems with the formation of the "H", and also the "n" of Aaron.

Looks almost too perfect for me. His auto isn't exactly a work of art, so the beauty in this one turns me off.
How's that for methodical research? |
too neat..

Thanks everyone for the help! Happy holidays!
