1955 Bowman wanted

I've been working on a low condition 1955 Bowman set for about 4 years and I'm down to needing 1 card to complete it. Most of these cards are listed on ebay for $5-$12. I thought I would check to see if anybody has a card or two in a trade bin.

#239 Rummel (umpire)

I've got a low grade #309 and #317 both creased down the center. They also have rounded corners and #309 appears to have had a staple in it at some point in time. Tom

#226, 260, 266, 289, 320 off the list.

Tom, I can use #317. I do not need #309 (need #301)

Are the 5 in the first post the ones you still need ? Primarily the Umpire cards ?

Back in the late 1970's I went to a garage sale and bought a stack of 100 or so 1955 Bowmans for next to nothing. I believe it was less than $10 as I made the purchase from saving my $2 a week allowance. Years later I was looking through them and realized that I had all the major stars (Mantle, Mays, Aaron) so I though to tackle this set. I would purchase a couple from local shows and over the course of a few years my wantlist started to shrink.

Picked up #270 and #275 on ebay. Down to 3 cards to complete this set! Hmmm, what should I work on next?

jimtigers65 01-12-2016 08:25 PM

Down to needing two cards as I picked up #289 Berry.

jimtigers65 01-24-2016 09:10 PM

Down to needing only one card to complete my 1955 Bowman set #239.

Thanks for everyone on this site who helped me out.

Jim
