nice Gold Borders to start off December! I've never seen a pick-up thread started on the 2nd of the month before...usually everyone is chomping at the bit and waiting to be the first to start the monthly thread!

It's good to see we've started the clamor.

A lot of card resources have been reallocated to filling Santa's sleigh. :D

Nice cards so far!! I took the liberty of changing the title of our thread because it is driving (at least) me crazy. :) And I just added this E90-3 condition rarity to my new collection...

That's some kind of deckle thing going on, very cool. And the title wasn't driving me very crazy, only a little crazy.

Took me a second to realize it was "Brown, Chicago Nat'l". Which has cool potential. Got it in the mail, re-scanned it (and confirmed that the "M" is there, just hidden in the brown mess) and flipped the scan. Then realized that there was more than just the name that WST'd. That's a lot of red...

I don't own a copy of that Brown card, so I harvested one out of a BST thread. Seems pretty definitely the Mordecai Brown portrait.

Only wrinkle was that the card looks like it's been removed from a scrapbook, based on the paper in the corner. When I magnified it, though, the rag was the same as regular t206 paper. So I took a thin-bladed knife and flipped up one edge of that stuck-down paper... and the other side is brilliant red. Not only were the sheets (or maybe just the cards?) stuck together, I've still got part of the card this one got stacked on top of. :)

Nice pick up. I was watching it but couldn't bring myself to bid.

Here's two that I've picked up. I bought the N352 raw -- had it graded today when I went to the Philly Show. I'm very pleased with the card!

Also psyched to add a CJ Rickey. It is one of my only "A" grades, but looks great in hand regardless of grade. Been looking for a nice Feller for a while and jumped on this one.

Three basic commons (though "limp wrist" Stovall is a tad tougher, imo :rolleyes:), all in the condition caramels should be :)
