Finally some Method to my T206 Madness

After four years of just randomly collecting beater T206 cards with no real direction I have decided to take the advice of a fellow on the forum and concentrate on the "Bad Boys" from the chapter of the Zappalla book I bought.

I had my collection of 48 cards all in toploaders and held together in one stack but I am dividing it into three stacks for future collecting of the set.

Stack 1 Bad Boys 5
Stack 2 Minor Leaguers 7
Stack 3 Everyone Else 36

What do you think of this system? Is this closer to how you collect rather than working on the set as a whole?
I don't care anything or pay attention to "backs".

One of the best things about collecting is we can do whatever makes US the happiest. I say if you have a good system and enjoy it, go for it. Then if you see something different, which you like more, you can consider that too. Personally I gravitate to more unique stuff but the Monster has almost limitless ways to collect it too. Good luck in the quest. (it's at least a lot of the fun itself)

"I don't care anything or pay attention to "backs"."

Ha...just wait. It'll creep up and bite you, without you even noticing... ;)

I love the list but am curious who the "bad boys are"?....I'm thinking Cobb and Chase, but can't think of anyone else.??

Boss Schmidt....absolutely, Cobb was even supposedly scared of him
Mike Donlin...great athelete that didn't mind mixing it up
Chick Gandil...Most all players were afraid of him, big and great with his fists.

Other than Cobb, have not really heard much about any of these other players. But, you did leave out Kid Elberfeld....He didn't back down from anybody...

Kevin- you never heard about these guys' claims to fame?:

Chase
Burns
Cicotte

Legend has it Boss Schmidt beat the Schmidt out of Cobb. As a catcher, he refused to wear shin guards and could pound nails into wood with his bare hands.

Reminds me of the "Brasky" skits from SNL years back.

Now I want a Schmidt card.

The Schmidt card has always been one of my favorites even before I put it in the Bad Boys subset :) Not only was he a legendary player it is a VERY nice looking card with a bright red background.
