Educate me on the Sweet Cap "overprints"
 

What is the story on the overprint?
I have a Doc Powers with the Sweet Cap with overprint back and just picked up a Long Bob Ewing with the same. Is this some type of back error or was it something that happened during a switch from 150 series?
