50th Anniversary HOF Autographed Program
 

I thought I had a previous post on this piece, but I can't seem to find it. Long story short; I attended this event back in 1989. Got Bob Feller to sign it in 1990 or so, and then it sat in a closet for the next 20 or so years. In 2009 I came across it, and decided to turn it into a TTM project of HOFers who signed through the mail for either free or for a small fee. At one point when I had sent it to Whitey Herzog, it was lost. It miraculously got "returned to sender on me" after being gone for months. After that I only sent it out one other time and that was during Gary Carter's last auto appearance. Sandberg I got IP when he was coaching AAA ball, but other than that, they were all TTM.

Added Gaylord Perry to the program today IP. He didnt say anything about it when he signed, but it was funny as he motioned to sign it, but then stopped and looked at all the signatures on it, then signed it.

Great piece. I have a friend that has worked some multi-signed pieces like that and I always thought how nervous I would be while it was traveling out in the world. I remember reading a horror story a few years ago about someone working NBA 50th litho and sent it to a show promoter to pick up one of the last signatures and it just vanished. Glad to see your item always made it back home.
