Maybe the guys bidding on the '8' finally saw the stain on the card and found this '7'
It only makes sense. Maybe the '7' is better than the '8'.

That card went bananas. You see the 5 hit 57k? Fireworks at that auction last night, wow.

How about that 52 Bowman PSA 7-- that hit over $10,000. That was an major eye opener.

I wanted to bid on some items pre & post, but i guess this Heritage auction had many, many buyers where i couldnt see paying some of those prices.
I think i wait a lit longer and see what another AH brings in for Santa.
Maybe these prices will raise some of other Mantles card values where they should be, like the 51B, some of the oddballs should really see increases by no doubt they should.
I was looking at the 51 Mays to replace my 7oc i sold, people bidding crazy on OC ones.

The number of Mantles in that auction and the prices they brought were insane. It makes me wish I'd either purchased higher grade cards when I first started collecting or snatched up every lower grade one I could when they could be had for less than $3,000. Such is life....
