Zip. Zilch. Zero. But at least I knew I was done at 10PM.

1952boyntoncollector 10-18-2015 06:33 AM

A nice 1952 topps psa 7 - 7.5 lot on cards that were really hard for me to find at good prices when I attempted to buy them card by card...will be selling them off and much better prices then when I had to buy these cards in the past one by one..

Powell,

Great pickup!!! I think you got a heck of a deal as well. A few people thought that card was going to go over $500K.

Consignor lost $$ on that card. Bought for $329K, sold for $260K (w/o bp).

That is the way it goes sometimes with the big $$$ cards. I'm saving my money for a few lots in Heritage.

Spiders Cabinets

Went to bed at 1am thinking I might get both and wondering how I'd afford it. No need to worry, got outbid on both. That Tebeau is beautiful in my eyes, hope someone really enjoys it.

I was under bidder on the freaky deaky Bender. Got a few of the autograph lots though, so all is good.

Outbid at 4:02AM on a lot I was positive I had won, after I had given up on everything else. Haven't had the feeling of hobby emptiness in a long while...

bobbyw8469 10-18-2015 09:10 AM

Some of the prices....woo-wee!!!! Makes me think REA should be my consignor of choice from now on!!

atx840 10-18-2015 09:38 AM

Nice pickups guys.

Congrats Michael, that one definitely belongs in your collection.

Joe_G. 10-18-2015 09:39 AM

Greg, great price on a fabulous appearing N173, well done!

I didn't win anything but enjoyed watching some items that are out of my focus including this spectacular Yum Yum with back stamp advertising. I had never seen one before, congrats to the winning bidder.

O for 207

If someone on the board won lot 232 (T207 Broadleafs) and is planning to split them up, I'd be interested in one (or two) of the cards.

Thanks!

I won the 1912 T207 Broadleaf Ward Miller from the Lionel Carter Collection. Now I have 3 total Ward Millers and 2 different types fot my T207 Cubs collection. Was also in the hunt for the 1922 E121 Ruth holding ball but went for the more rare card as I see the Ruth more often and Heritage has some cards coming up that I really want.

jburl 10-18-2015 12:08 PM

I will say, I won nothing. I, too, felt like the t206 Hindu prices were strong. I also felt like the t210/t211 paired lots went very strong.

Oh I see it didn't belong in mine huh Chris? :D

oldjudge 10-18-2015 12:50 PM

Greg--Nice OJ cabinet. They are really undervalued given their rarity and appearance. Hopefully, you are reading one of the Old Judge books.

brass_rat 10-18-2015 01:01 PM

Congrats to Powell! Also, Jason and Paul -- nice signed cards!

I went to bed at midnight as the T210/T211 lots went higher than I thought. (If anybody won one or more, please check out my post in the BST for the T211s I was looking for.)

Cheers,
Steve

I thought the SGC 40 McCormick BLeaf 350 was a solid buy....

Mccormick

Yea it was mine could have been a little more solid. Ha-ha would have liked much better if it pushed near that 1st lattimore BL. Nice pickup for who got it.

Bliggity 10-18-2015 08:35 PM

If anyone won lot 252 (T209-1 set) I would be interested in a few of the cards if any are available, thx.

Wahoowa 10-18-2015 09:26 PM

Finally picked up my 2nd E300 Plow's Candy by getting the Solly Hofman. Always wanted a horizontal image from that set and thought the price was reasonable.

Happy to have been high bidder for Lot 125 'assorted tobacco cards'.....bought the cards to acquire the Orange Cobb which I madly fell in love with!
Will sell the other cards when they arrive.

Just one lot for me. Got this wacky Donovan portrait. The others are available (although the Milligan and Mullin hardly qualify as variations). The Clymer factory number on top is pretty sweet. Rarely see them in this nice of shape.

This. I only bid on the one lot, and once it was out of a range I was comfortable with, I ducked out. Nothing that really knocked my socks off in this auction, at least, nothing that didn't cost way more than I was going to spend.

timzcardz 10-19-2015 06:23 AM

Not prewar, but I was happy to pick up some Elston Howard / Topps autographs.

mark evans 10-19-2015 07:09 AM

Is the Doyle error card an example of the same card Joe Pelaez had, which he showed me at a Chantilly show? If so, what did Joe's sell for?

Sean 10-19-2015 09:18 AM

Yes, it is the same as Joe's card.

I believe it sold for around $180,000. I was a distant underbidder on Joe's card.

Sean 10-19-2015 09:21 AM

I was wrong, I was thinking of a different Doyle.

Joe's card sold for $414,750.

parkerj33 10-19-2015 11:01 AM

congrats to powell! the t206 monster number thread needs an update with our first 1000 point set! Can't be too many other completes out there....

Exhibitman 10-19-2015 11:23 AM

Great picks, gentleman.

If anyone won the mixed baseball-boxing lot (#105) I'd be interested in the N269 Woodson.
