Babe Ruth Forgery & The Pawn Shop
1 Attachment(s)
This was brought to my attention by a member on another site that I contribute to.
First of all, it's a laughable Babe Ruth forgery that looks like it was penned by a five-year old. Secondly, I have absolutely no sympathy for the pawn stop that purchased the below garbage. It was about greed. The quote "They were very, very good fakes" is laughable. I just need to date the baseball. http://m.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/m...aseball/nnqMp/ Attachment 206544 |

I'm guessing that's not the baseball the guy sold them which is probably now in the hands of the police. The news station probably bought a baseball and signed it to get their shot. The COA doesn't look like the same one that is shown on the surveillance video either.
I take that back...it does appear to be the same COA. If it's the same ball then those pawn shop guys should be fired. |

I emailed the reporter about the baseball. |

Wait...does that baseball in the photo have the "China" mark on it? haha!:D

Why would anyone take a real Babe Ruth signed baseball with a real PSA/DNA LOA to a pawn shop, unless it was hot or they needed money really desperately/fast?
I admit I've never been in a pawn shop, so perhaps am working on stereotype. |
