$7600 with missing tag and cracked base? Thats what this sold for last night on ebay.

Interesting bidders and bidding pattern.

for those of you who purchased one or all of these in the past 10 years and thought that the $2500 you spent was a lot, smile:)

I was watching that as well and was surprised at the price and most of the bidding occurred at the end. I just purchased one about three months ago for $5000 and kind of felt I overpaid at the time. I don't feel quite so bad now and while I am still looking for the catcher and the pitcher I can't see myself paying that kind of money for them?

I would have concerns with the top 2 bids. The 3rd bidder was fine.

the history looks shady. I guess that 1914 Braves pennant sale went thru. you know the one that went for like $13k

I wasn't watching this auction. Was there a $7500 reserve that caused the 3rd bidder to bid in the manner he/she did?

Same two under bidders as the previous trophy.

This one had a previous neck repair and missing tags.

Gotta be a world record price for a decapitated Catcher :eek:

she did not bid on the catcher, however the loser of the 1st one won the 2nd one(the catcher).
