What's interesting to me about this one is that max spent the 1924 offseason working on his swing (mimicking ty cobb's).he returned in 25 with a vengeance batting .343 and leading the league in steals... He led his team to the national league pennant, and later went on to win the championship against Walter Johnson and the senators with a .453 batting average.

This is one of the coolest Carey pieces out there, especially considering that it was the hall of farmers finest year as a batsmen
