Autograph Removal on Mini Helmet
There's probably another thread on this, but I couldn't find it, so does anybody know what would be good to use to remove an incription from a mini helmet? It's written in silver sharpie.
Thanks! Derek |
why erase it?
It always bugs the hell out of me when people do that. |
I work at Dick's and we get a bunch of athletes coming to sign stuff and we have a bunch of random signed things laying around and the one manager is taking home this helmet, but doesn't want "to Jamie" on it because nobody knows who Jaime is haha

Helmet...
Nail polish remover and a cotton swab. Be advised that after removal (which is quite simple) on a mini helmet, there may be a small area where it appears the gloss of the helmet has rubbed off (which of course it has!). From arms length, you will never know the difference.

Rubbing alcohol

On a non-porous surface, I've always had good luck with hair spray.

Thanks for all of the replies! He ended up going with some rubbing alcohol because we had some at the store and it took most of it off. Can only really tell at an angle so thanks all!

I was going to suggest a rotary sander and then buff it out. :D

Haha you know what Steve I'll tell him to try that for the next one ;)
