1936-38 BF3 Mini Pennant Type Question
1 Attachment(s)
I just acquired some 1936-38 BF3 Mini Pennants, over the weekend, from an antique shop. How do you determine which BF3 type you have? The pennants that I have don't match any of the pictures in my Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards.

1936-37 BF3 Mini Pennants
The two at the top right with Bees and Cardinals on them are 1936-37 Type 5 pennants that showed team nicknames with an emblem. The four pennants at the bottom with Mungo, Trosky, Camilli and Medwick are all 1936 Type 7 pennants showing a player name and their team with a cap, ball or etc. on them. The other pennants don't appear to be baseball pennants and I'm guessing may be football or college related. Not sure if they then carry the same BF3 designation in that case.

Thank you for the clarification. I think there is a 1950 college football pennant set, so I will see if I can find out more about those items.

bf3
The college and university pennants are also BF3s and are from the same 1936-38 period, probably produced by the same company. If you want a better sample just type in BF3 on Ebay and you will see quite an assortment of them.
