Not trying to show-off at all (ya right) but just wanted to share my Hank Aaron photo collection that Ive been working on. Other than Ruth, Hank Aaron has always been my favorite player and good Aaron photos are hard to find

Thanks man! Ya but mainly photos. Been looking everywhere for a "henry" aaron signed piece but the ones ive seen are way to expensive. Would love to add a game worn jersey but thats not until i win the lottery..lol

Those are a really nice grouping of Aaron photos. For some unknown reason Hank selecting some bats from the rack is my favorite; so cool looking.

One of the things I like about photos is that collectors, or at least myself, aren't as concerned with photo condition. You typically don't hear, "it's off center", or "there's a ding on one of the corners", or even "there's a surface wrinkle". I guess the main thing for some is what "Type" is the photo. I know photo collecting has been around a long time, but there is definitely a growing collector base when it comes to photos.

By the way you picked a great one to collect; very nice!

Great photos!!!!! But what the heck is up with Hammerin' Hank's eyebrows in this one??? He looks like a 1950's version of Boy George. Yowza!! :D

Lol...he just got back from getting his eyebrows done at the mall...newspaper agencies used to do that to enhance certain parts of a photo that needed it. His eyebrows look way to dark. Poor dude

Nice Aaron photos. I like the one where he is selecting the bats. Photo collecting is becoming stronger in the hobby. I have no idea how to determine prices, however. It's kind of frightening.

Great shots, everyone. This shot of Hank in a Jacksonville uniform is from a contact sheet issued by the team in 1980/81. Shows him in a different uniform than bobfreedman's pic (I cropped out the rest of the sheet so you can see the uniform better)

I believe this shot is from 1965, before the team moved to Atlanta. Notice the thickness and the rough look of the A on his cap. The cap he's wearing was likely made on short notice and is not the final version that the team wore for the 1966 season. I've seen other publicity shots that the team produced in advance of the move South, but if anyone has more info about it I'd like to know.

I am an Aaron collector and have a bunch of photos. Picking a favorite is tough but these two are two of my favorite action photos. In the first photo, Aaron (the HR King) is shown beating out a bunt at age 40. The second is him shattering his bat at his final All-Star game. Both are vintage wire photos. I will try to post more.
