FS - Wax Box of 1976 Topps Football

Some quick context, i started back into collecting after selling a company that I started which opened up some time for me- ive since been reasonably active here on Net54. Since then I've also been egregiously posting my latest pickups on Facebook. A friend of mine who is the founder of another company who I used to share office space with reached out to me after seeing my posts and asked me if I wanted to buy his case of 1976 Topps Football. I corrected him and said "you mean box" and he said "no I mean case." Apparently when he sold his company he bought a house and found the case in the attic. He opened two boxes (about half the packs in the second box) It's a case of wax boxes meaning there are ab 14.5 boxes left (the .5 being loose packs. He also pulled 2 Paytons out of that 1.5. Im considering putting one or two up at one of the major auction houses but I wanted to test the appetite here. Noting that the posted BBCE buy price is 5k id assume i could get somewhat more than that at retail if i sold one on the open market. Anyway, let me know if you're interested - we'll have pics of the opened case with the boxes inside to show some provenance as well as pics of the opened cards along w the Paytons (also for sale) by next week. Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested - i haven't seen a single on for sale on Ebay in the past or currently. A few wax boxes hit some auction houses a few years ago but thats about it. Not sure why they are so scarce but im hoping that piques some interest. Thanks!
