What is this Grover Alexander Card?
1 Attachment(s)
I'm coming from the autograph side. Can anyone please tell me what this card is and if it has any value? It's in a frame so I couldn't get a picture of the back. Thank you.

1929 Exhibits 4 in 1.

It was likely worth a couple hundred dollars, if not more, before it was trimmed.
|
Is it possible it's not trimmed, just seated behind the mat?
|
Its possible its not trimmed, depending on how it was matted. I do think the value if clean and untrimmed is in the $100-150 range, if trimmed, or stuck/glued to it then a whole lot less.

If untrimmed and graded highly I think it would go for a bit more than 150..... nice card

Well I do have 4 of them and have not paid over $155 for any, cheapest was $95 (Black & White). With the 1929-30 set many of the colors carry a premium, on the other hand the back & white is by far the most common. If a nice solid blue comes up for auction, that could ring up a nice sum.
I was also the Heritage winner of your exhibit lot, that included this same card in low grade, total for the 15 cards was $430 or about $29/card. So what do I know...... http://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball-ca...links-12202013 Pictures of my 4- http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...-RedYellow.jpghttp://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...xander60br.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...xander40bw.jpghttp://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...nder-sgc60.jpg |
I was thinking higher grade, Maybe a 7? I know you collect these a lot....great cards!! (btw, you got a great deal in the HA auction, nice job and thanks for bidding and winning)
